  • ALL SCHOOL UPDATES WILL NOW BE PUSHED THROUGH PARENTSQUARE, OUR HOME-TO-SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM. You should have received an email or text from ParentSquare inviting you to activate your account. If you haven’t please let us know by sending a text message to 818.850.1168. In your text message, please include: (1) Your Name, (2) Your Email, (3) Your Cell Phone, (4) Your School Name, and (5) Your child’s or children’s name and grade.
  • What is ParentSquare? ParentSquare is a communication and organization tool designed to keep you informed of school-wide activities, and engaged with parents.Here are some of the features ParentSquare provides:
    • Receive all school, classroom and group communication via email, text or app notification
    • Send out posts to your classes and groups
    • Add events to your class calendar and ask parents to RSVP
    • Request parents to volunteer, and bring items for your classroom
    • Send and receive photos, links and attachments
    • Send private messages to your parents and other staff members
    • Appreciate those who post messages (please give them generously!)

  • All Ingenium Schools will be changing their spring break dates to March 30th-April 3rd. We will continue to distribute food before and after spring break at all our Ingenium Schools sites.

Thursday, March 19, 2020:

7:30 pm:
  • Following the “Safer at Home” order from Mayor Garcetti as well as Governor Newsom’s “Stay at Home” order, we will be providing families with additional learning resources and materials so that learning can continue from home for the time being. Some families will have different needs than others and we will be taking that into consideration when distributing resources and materials. We will provide more information about details on what this will look like early next week. Our team has been planning a quality program to support learning from home for your children for the past week in the event this decision needed to be made. Future communications will include how we will provide additional resources and materials to support you and your children so they can continue to learn. We will continue to distribute meals at all of our Ingenium Schools locations.

Wednesday, March 18, 2020:

  • We will continue to distribute meals to all students at our sites. All students under the age of 18 can receive a to-go breakfast and lunch.Food Distribution Days/Times

  • If your child’s school site is too far from your home, you can visit any of the other Ingenium Schools listed above if those school locations are closer to your home. In addition, please know that there are 60 LAUSD Grab-N-Go locations that are also distributing meals to all students under the age of 18. Monday, March 16, 2020:

  • FREE MEALS. Ingenium Schools in partnership with School Nutrition Plus will be offering students free meals every weekday for the next two weeks starting on Tuesday March 17th, 2020. School Nutrition Plus will be set up just through the main entrance under the covered walkway of Barack Obama Charter School from 9am-11am. They will be serving a grab and go breakfast and lunch.

Friday, March 13, 2020:

3:30 PM
  • To support with the maintenance of learning for the next two weeks, your child will receive learning packets. You can pick up these packets Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 from 8am-5pm. We ask that you support their learning by monitoring their work daily. If you cannot pick up your maintenance of learning packet, we will mail packets to your home.
  • Educational content will be streaming free on KCET and PBS SoCal. Also streaming on Samsung Devices, YouTube, Amazon, Roku, and Apple TV.
  • Meals will be available to all students. Information on locations and times will be forthcoming.
